PROVEN WINNERS
SUNCREDIBLE Yellow Helianthus is a daylength neutral, vegetative sunflower that will reach a height of 24-42” in full sun, with a spread of 20-32”. SUPERTUNIA RASPBERRY RUSH Petunia is destined to be a top seller with major impulse appeal. Lush plants are covered in raspberry pink and white patterned flowers that start early and last all season without deadheading. Gardeners will love the great heat and humidity tolerance too. This plant will grow to a height of 6-12” with a spread of 18-24”. Best in part to full sun.
SPRING MEADOW NURSERY
Whether you call it Japanese andromeda or lily of the valley shrub, InterstellaPieris japonica will have you seeing stars when it bursts into bloom with thousands of lantern-like, ruby-colored blooms in early spring. The long-lasting display is followed by the emergence of dramatic red new growth, and handsome evergreen foliage secures year-round presence and beauty. Thrives in the same conditions as rhododendrons and is deer resistant. USDA zones 5-8, Height/width 3-4’.
Oso Easy Pleasy Rosa is a winner of the American Rose Society (ARS) Award of Excellence in the No Spray division. Oso Easy Pleasy rose sends out continuous sprays of doubled blooms, each with the vivid, tropical hue of dragon fruit. Produces flowers continuously without deadheading, and as its award from the prestigious ARS attests, it exhibits outstanding disease resistance. It’s also heat tolerant. USDA zones 4-9, Height/width 2.5-3.5’.
Already decorated with six awards from around the world, Ringo Rosa is finally available in North America. The blooms of this colorful, appealing R. hulthemia hybrid open a bright golden yellow with a blazing red center. They mellow to a soft yellow, before finally turning white with a distinct pink center. The effect is of three colors blooming at once. Of course, it meets our standards for disease resistance and reblooming, having been put through our multi-year rose trial gauntlet. USDA zones 4-8, Height/width 3-4’.
Hues of cream, green and pink, layered with a cast of purple make My Monet Purple Effect Weigela a noteworthy selection. It shares the same dwarf habit and neat, variegated foliage of the original My Monet Weigela but has exceptionally strong flowering. It is a bit faster-growing and has proven more heat tolerant in our trials. It also attracts pollinators. The foliage looks good right up until frost, giving new energy to this longtime favorite. USDA zones 4-6, Height/width 1.5-2.5’.
