VICTOR, N.Y. – BioWorks, a customer-focused provider of safe, proven and effective biopesticides and plant nutrition products, today announced the launch of a new biopesticide BotaniGard MAXX. The new mycoinsecticide has a quick knockdown effect with natural pyrethrins paired with Beauveria bassiana Strain GHA as the active ingredients according to the release.
According to the company, BotaniGard MAXX is a formulation based on the combination of natural pyrethrins and Beauveria bassiana Strain GHA. They are formulated together in an emulsifiable dispersible oil and represent the latest generation of biopesticides. The interaction between Beauveria bassiana Strain GHA and natural botanical pyrethrins is synergistic. This combination results in multiple modes of action and pest control results comparable to those obtained when using synthetic chemical alternatives. BioWorks also says BotaniGard MAXX is a new tool for IPM for a wide variety of insects and spider mites.
“BotaniGard MAXX will be an important new tool for many growers,” said Joe Gionta, Director of Marketing and Sales. “It gives our customers additional environmentally responsible and reliable ways to control whiteflies, aphids, thrips, spider mites and more.”
