New reference available for producing perennials. “A Guide to Protecting Perennials” from Syngenta Professional Products is a new reference for choosing, growing and protecting perennials. It is available as a downloadable file at www.greencastonline.com. Professional growers and lawn care operators can also contact Syngenta for a copy.
 The guide includes sections on the characteristics of growing media, effective use of plant growth regulators, management strategies and disease and insect identification and management. The disease and insect management sections are organized alphabetically by pest and include large color photos to help as a scouting resource. The guide also offers effective solutions for each pest and can be used as an employee-training tool.
