The New Year is the perfect time to reflect and set goals for the upcoming year, as well as make improvements to existing relationships and projects. Whether it’s making the effort to exercise more regularly, improving your management skills or cleaning out the boxes in your office space, it’s a great opportunity to shake up your routine. Here at Greenhouse Management, we’ve been busy behind the scenes working on some improvements to give you an even better experience this year. As you flip through this month’s issue, you’ll notice that we’ve given the magazine a design facelift. And that’s not all. In addition to the visual improvements, we’ve added a few new sections, including The Growing Edge and Plant Science Investigators (this month it’s part of our Pest Management supplement). Drop me a line and let me know what you think. We’ve also added a new staff member to our team, Cassie Neiden. Cassie’s background is in magazine journalism and she’s a native Ohioan. Please join me in welcoming her to the horticulture industry. And last, but certainly not least, this month we’re featuring 12 horticulture professionals who are making a difference in the field. While these folks may have different backgrounds and job titles, they are all poised to carry the horticulture industry forward as some of the current owners and senior managers move into retirement. Click here to learn more and meet the Generation Next Class of 2015. Happy New Year!
