Multifan V-FloFan
The pitch: Ventilation plays a major role in modern greenhouses. Through circulation of air, heat distribution in the greenhouses is optimized, which enhances a uniform development of the crops. Furthermore, because of several energy technical improvements in modern greenhouses today, and more intensive cultivation methods, the necessity of controlling humidity levels on crop level increases.
With the Multifan V-FloFan, a recirculation fan by Vostermans Ventilation, growers have the opportunity to reduce the negative impact of humidity in a simple and energy efficient way. The vertical and horizontal airflows result into an active microclimate on crop level.
V-FloFan features:
- An optimal vertical airflow through a special aerodynamic outflow hood.
- The V-FloFan is applicable for several cultivation systems and crops by an outflow hood, which is adjustable in height.
- Reduced number of fans per surface area in comparison to similar systems.
- Energy-efficient fans/motors, developed, and produced according future directives.

Exhaust fan helps increase greenhouse production
The pitch: Schaefer’s Slant Wall Exhaust Fan line delivers humidity control, helps reduce disease, and provides fresh air within greenhouses for increased production.
The fans come with totally enclosed, thermally protected motors for safety and long life. The motors come in single-phase 115/230V and three-phase 208-230/460V; two-speed motors are available. The matched motor blade and pulley combinations provide maximum airflow and efficiency.
The sealed ball bearings and optional remote bearing lubrication system reduces maintenance, and the self-adjusting idler style belt tensioner ensures uniform loading and reduces bounce during startups. Housings and blades are designed to provide long lasting durability and corrosion resistance, while Schaefer intake shutters are constructed to reduce flapping and opening from the wind.
The Slant Wall Exhaust Fans have the capacity to fit into buildings with up to 6-inch wall thickness using standard rough-in dimensions, to fit flush mounted to inside of the building and to shed water and snow. The fans come fully assembled with only the shutters to be added in the field.
The fans are available in either galvanized or auminum housings. Galvanized fans are available in 24-, 30-, 36-, 42-, 48-, and 54-inch sizes. Schaefer’s line of aluminum fans are currently available in 30-, 36-, and 48-inch sizes.
