Biological mosquito larvicide
Summit Chemical’s Mosquito Dunks are a biological and organic way of killing mosquitoes. Simply put the dunks in bird baths, water gardens, fountains, ponds and wherever there may be standing pools of water for a long period of time. When mosquito larvae hatch, they’ll eat the active ingredient Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies israelensis, a bacterium that’s fatal to mosquitoes but harmless to other living organisms. Each Mosquito Dunk will treat up to 100 square feet of surface water for about 30 days, and are available at home centers, hardware stores, garden centers and mail order catalogs. READER SERVICE #58
