Foliar fungicide
Containing the active ingredient mandipropamid (FRAC Group 40), Micora from Syngenta can be used on ornamental crops as well as certain vegetables grown for resale as transplants. The carboxylic acid amide fungicide inhibits spore germination and delivers both preventive and curative protection. Delivering what Syngenta calls LOK + FLO technology to provide immediate and residual protection, Micora offers protection from oomycete diseases, including downy mildew and Phytophthora. Micora can be used in integrated pest management programs and also works as a rotational partner with fungicides from other chemical classes. READER SERVICE #48
Emitter
Dramm introduces a new, larger pressure-compensated emitter designed to reduce clogging. The PCAS Emitter has a larger body that allows for a larger labyrinth, allowing more debris to pass through without collecting in the emitter and clogging the flow. Unlike most emitters that have narrow passages to trap debris and algae, even with filtration there is usually an amount of clogging that occurs. While filtration is still required with PCAS System for best practice, the wider labyrinth will allow debris to pass through with less restriction, and in turn reduce the amount of clogged emitters.
