Controlling social media commotion
It’s entirely possible for your social media activities to spiral out of control, lessening your ability to monitor and measure that activity and maintain a truly meaningful connection with your audience. Recently, Social Media Examiner offered advice on social media management tools that can help you get a handle on your online activity and provide you with better insight into your audience. Here are a couple of tools that Social Media Examiner found most useful:
Sprout Social. Sprout Social (www.sproutsocial.com) helps you engage followers and respond in real time. The user interface enables you to process and digest data in an easy-to-use, graphic format; in short, you can quickly check data from your various social media accounts and figure out how to respond to it. Think of a visually pleasing, easy-to-digest dashboard that gives you real-time information about all of your social media activities. Sprout Social also offers a Smart Inbox, through which you can respond quickly and easily from different social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, etc.), as well as post different message types and even sort by brand keywords. A Twitter Comparison Tools allows you to compare your Twitter usage to that of your competitors. Enjoy a 30-day free trial to see if this tool is right for you.
MarketMeSuite. This easy-to-use dashboard works like e-mail; look at messages in the preview pane and then open them up to explore more about the person who sent the message. MarketMeSuite (www.marketmesuite.com) comes with a built-in tutorial to walk you through the basics and get you up and running fast. This social media management tool also offers a geotargeting feature, which allows you to locate customers using social media who are near your business. It also allows you to manage multiple social media profiles, and you can schedule messages across social networks with just one click.
