Weather conditions: Shortly after planting there were two weeks where daytime temperatures reached 95°F. Mid-June had excellent growing conditions, which enabled the plants to catch up. July had three weeks of temperatures above 95°F reaching a high of 105°F. Plants stopped growing as night temperatures hovered around 80°F. Normal temperatures returned in mid-August.

Weather conditions: In early June there was a lot of rain and cold temperatures. During July and August, temperatures were in the mid 90s with heat indices in the 100s and drought conditions.
