East Jordan Plastics is offering two new containers. Its 10-inch Thermoformed Hanging Basket is made from 60-100 percent recycled plastic and stocked in three colors (green, terra cotta and white). It is also available in black and custom colors. The tri-layer basket's middle layer is black to ensure there is no light transmission through the basket.

Disease protection
Clean Light Inc. has introduced its UVc Crop Protection to North America. The patented a system "sprays" ornamental and vegetable crops with UV light to protect them against pathogenic fungi. The technology eradicates diseases on plants with a very low dose of UVc light, as a substitute for fungicides. It leaves no residue on the plants and it does not create extra moisture in the greenhouses. Diseases that have proven to be controlled with the technology include powdery mildew, downy mildew, Botrytis, Fusarium, Phytophthora and Mycospharella. Each unit is self-contained and can be installed on watering booms in greenhouses or on Wanjet Spray Robots. Wattages range from 40-160 watts. There is a 10-watt unit for hobbyist and urban growers. Water hose
JGB Enterprises Inc. is offering its Tuff-Guard crush-proof and kink-free water hose. It is made of a unique three-layer woven fiber core for strength. Made of TPE, the hose is easily identifiable by its coiled helix design and blue exterior. It is made to withstand and function in temperatures ranging from -20°F-150°F. The working and burst pressures are 100 psi and 300 psi at 70°F. The hose maintains flexibility at extreme temperatures. The hose is available in 25-, 50- and 100-foot lengths.
