Rooting medium
OASIS Grower Solutions has introduced the Wedge Plus Growing Media, a rooting medium designed specifically for poinsettias. While average poinsettia propagation spans 24 days, the new advancements of Wedge Plus reduces that process by a full five days, when compared with the company’s original foam growing media. Plant growth regulator
Fine Americas Inc. has introduced Piccolo 10 XC plant growth regulator for use on bedding plants. The product, which contains a 4 percent concentration of paclobutrazol produces more compact and marketable plants.

Piccolo 10 XC comes in a true solution, instead of a suspension, so it overcomes the potential settling problems associated with older paclobutrazol products. As with older paclobutrazol formulations, Piccolo 10 XC can be used as either a drench or spray. READER SERVICE #82


Fungicide
Segway fungicide from FMC Corp. provides effective control of Pythium, Phytophthora and downy mildew on ornamentals in commercial greenhouse and nursery production and in the landscape. It contains the active ingredient cyazofamid and is the only registered FRAC Group 21 fungicide that helps with resistance management.
