iffy provides growers with high-quality growing media, media containers, and other supporting products and services. These offerings are achieved through continuous innovation and consistent compliance to the highest standards of quality and environmental awareness.
Jiffy’s automation-capable line of products includes:
Jiffypot - A 100-percent biodegradable pot available in many different versions and sizes. Recent additions to the Jiffy program allow easy mechanical handling with minimal set-up. Other sizes can be used with pot dispensers and other equipment with minor adjustments supported by Jiffy.
Preforma - Bonded plug held together through a binder, making the plugs well-suited for use in any type of automation solutions. The plugs will not crumble, even when not fully rooted during an automated transplanting process.
Jiffy-7 - The Jiffy-7 pellet is a unique concept, packing cost-saving advantages for the grower on the lookout to minimize input costs. Jiffy-7’s media and container come compressed, saving on freight and logistics. Available in many size and tray configurations, and suited to be used in fully automated sticking lines.
FORMiT - A loose-fill substrate that becomes stabilized in the plug tray with the simple application of water, fitting any existing flat filling equipment. FORMiT provides plug integrity, ensuring no interruption of plant growth by not disturbing the roots. This allows mechanical transplanting of delicate varieties and reduces the use of plant growth regulators.
