Celebrate the Beauty You Create With Bayer at This Year's Cultivate
Come on over to Columbus for Cultivate’22. The country’s premier green industry event is the place to gain insights, discover new resources and network with colleagues from across the industry. We sat down with Jane Stanley from the Bayer Green Solutions Team to discuss how attendees can get the most out of their experience and what we can expect from Bayer at this year’s event.
Jane, you've been to several Cultivate events over your career. What tips do you have to help attendees prepare for the event?
First off, there’s nothing else in our industry like Cultivate. It’s the perfect place for growers, distributors and everyone in between to reconnect with old friends, meet new contacts and learn about the latest trends in the industry. My biggest tip is to make time for learning. With a packed schedule of daily activities, informational sessions and events, it can be overwhelming to choose an itinerary that works for you. I recommend taking a look at the conference agenda before July 16 so that you can better map out your days and choose to focus on experiences that matter to you. You can glean some incredible insights from experts and colleagues in the industry, so plan ahead and make the most of the learning opportunities available to you.
Do you have any other guidance to help attendees maximize their experience at the event?
It’s a simple one, but I would remind attendees to put away the smartphones when they can. You’re there to have in-person interaction, and you don’t want your electronic devices to be a barrier to making connections. So, while you don’t have to disconnect completely, put the phone away when you’re waiting for a workshop to begin or taking a break at the coffee bar. Give yourself a chance to strike up conversations with the other attendees. Keep the connections you make during the conference alive after the weekend is over.
What can attendees look forward to from Bayer this year?
For our team, the best part of Cultivate is listening to growers and working with them to solve their toughest challenges. This year we will be debuting our new Nursery Weed Control guide, which will be an invaluable resource to help growers. We cannot give away too much else quite yet, but attendees should make sure to stop by booth #1603 for expert advice, fun giveaways, and to celebrate the beauty they create each and every day.
What are some of the products and resources Bayer will be showcasing?
Our experts will be on hand to answer questions and discuss our innovative, complete portfolio of products that help growers tackle any challenge. For example, if a grower is facing a wide variety of weeds, we would talk to them about Marengo® because its expanded label means it can control more weeds than ever before. It’s one of our most popular products because it is long-lasting, eliminating the need for repeat applications and reducing labor costs. As for helping new growers be successful, we will talk about our entire insecticide portfolio of Kontos®, Altus® and Savate®, which offers solutions for nearly every growing situation.
Where can the green industry go to learn more about Bayer solutions?
Growers can learn more about our ornamental products, find their Bayer representative and read up on our latest expert advice at our website by scanning the QR code. Also, remember to see us at Cultivate!
