All-America Selections has announced its AAS winners available for the 2025 gardening season.
Brokers, growers and retailers will want to add these proven garden performers to their assortments to prep for demand coming in 2025.
All AAS winners are trialed throughout North America by professional, independent, volunteer judges who grow new entries next to comparisons that are considered best-in-class.
The AAS winners for 2025 (in alphabetical order) are:
Dahlia Black Forest Ruby: AAS Ornamental Winner, National
This plant from Takii Europe B.V. features deep black foliage and abundant ruby-red flowers. Blooms range from semi‐double to double. This is a seed-raised variety with pinnate leaves that has impressive overall durability. Plants are sturdy, do not flop open and are disease-free all season long.
Dianthus Capitan Magnifica: AAS Ornamental Winner, National
AAS Judges were impressed with this new dianthus bred by Selecta One, as it continued blooming and growing even through summer’s heat. One quick shearing after blooming, and it bounced back with a profusion of beautiful pink blooms that sport a consistent, light pink edging. New interspecific breeding gives it more heat tolerance than traditional dianthus varieties, with stems long enough to use as cut flowers. The more flower stems are cut for indoor enjoyment, the more blooms it puts forth.
Kohlrabi Konstance F1: Edible — Vegetable, National
This new purple kohlrabi from Bejo Seeds has a longer harvest window, an improved smoother skin and a vibrant purple color that extends out through the leaf margins. No matter if you grow in spring or fall, Konstance continues to produce flavorful crunchy bulbs that are crack-resistant and long-lasting. A bonus to the crisp, sweet, peppery bulb is that the leaves are also highly flavorful when roasted or sauteed, or they can be eaten raw when the leaves are young and tender.
Marigold Mango Tango: AAS Flower Winner, National
Mango Tango from Benary features super-saturated bi-color flowers of yellow and red. Compact, vigorous plants bloom prolifically over a long flowering window.
