
The lifetime achievements of Christopher Raimondi, CLP, of Raimondi Horticultural Group, will be recognized by AmericanHort at Cultivate’17, July 9-12, in Columbus, Ohio. Honoring his contributions to the development of the interiorscape industry, he will be inducted into the Interior Plantscape Hall of Fame during the Plantscape Awards Celebration on Sunday, July 16th.
From his long history with scouting, his passion as a volunteer fire fighter, and his dedication to the interior landscape industry, Raimondi not only works on his business, but he also commits himself to growing the overall viability of the industry. He routinely shares his more than 40 years of horticultural knowledge with clients, as well as his students at The New York Botanical Garden and Bergen Community College, where he is an adjunct professor of horticulture. He has served as a volunteer on more than 19 local and national industry association boards and committees, including chair of the ALCA Interior Landscape Council; ALCA Certification Board of Governors; Plants for Clean Air Council; founding group member of Plants at Work; NALP (formerly PLANET) membership and PR committees; ALCA Publications Committee; member of the NALP (formerly PLANET) Board of Directors; Green Plants for Green Buildings board; Interior Industry Coalition chairman; NALP Student Career Competition supporter and sponsor; and NALP Interior Specialty Group chairman and membership council. Additionally, under Raimondi's leadership, Raimondi Horticultural Group has earned 56 Environmental and Safety awards.
The AmericanHort Interior Plantscape Hall of Fame (formerly known as the PIA Interior Plantscape Hall of Fame) was established to honor individuals of integrity whose personal dedication provide great leadership in the development and growth of the interiorscape industry. Individuals nominated must have contributed a minimum of 15 years to the development and permanent betterment of the interiorscape industry.
All are encouraged to attend the Awards Celebration and dinner to raise a toast of appreciation for Chris Raimondi. The Celebration event will also include the presentation and celebration of 66 winning entries from 20+ companies in the International Plantscape Awards program.
