Perennial Plant Association has announced the 2019 New to the Market Forum during the 2019 National Symposium taking place July 28 – Aug. 2 in Rosemont, Ill. The event features speakers including Piet Oudolf and Roy Diblik, tours of Chicago and surrounding areas, two dinners and networking opportunities. This year’s Symposium is held in conjunction with All-America Selections and National Garden Bureau.
The New to the Market Forum is a National Symposium highlight and will be held on Tuesday, July 30. This is an opportunity for breeders and plant dealers from around the world to present their best and brightest to the perennial plant industry. In addition to plants, there is an opportunity to present new products at the forum. The marketing potential goes beyond the symposium as photos and descriptions of entries will also appear in the Perennial Plant Association newsletter.
Companies and organizations will have the option to present any combination of plants or products totaling three entries. During the New to the Market Forum, each company is given a 5-minute time slot to present their featured items. Entries currently include features from companies like Plants Nouveau, J. Berry, Ball Horticultural, Terra Nova Nurseries, BASF and more. Symposium attendees have the option to expand the three-day core symposium (Tuesday-Thursday) to a week-long experience.
