Terra Nova Nurseries announced a sneak peek of its brand-new Bergenia Early Brilliance Magenta. This new variety, which kicks off the new Early Brilliance series, features medium-sized, brilliant magenta flowers and deep, burgundy-black foliage in the winter. Flowering continues as the foliage turns green again, adding to the interest of the plant.
Bergenia Early Brilliance Magenta is a low-maintenance plant with a wonderfully compact habit. It can be used in mass plantings, containers, on banks, in front of borders or in mixed beds.
USDA Hardiness Zones for Bergenia Early Brilliance Magenta are 4-9, and its exposure allows for full sun and part shade. This plant has a foliage height of 6”, a foliage spread of 12” and a flower height of 10”. Finish time from liner to a 4-inch pot is four to six weeks. Finish time from liner to a 1-gallon pot is 12 to 14 weeks.
