Prestop Fungicide is an aggressive hyperparasite of plant disease pathogens using chitinase and glucanase enzymes. Prestop also protects by colonizing roots and foliage to crowd out pathogen establishment.
Prestop controls foliar diseases caused by Alternaria, Anthracnose (Colletotrichum) Bipolaris, Botrytis Gray Mold, Cladosporium, Didymella, Fusarium, Monilinia, Mycosphaerella, Nectria, Penicillium and Sclerotinia.
Root and seed borne diseases caused by Alternaria, Bipolaris, Botrytis, Cladosporium, Colletotrichum, Fusarium, Mycosphaerella, Penicillium, Phytophthora, Plasmodiophora, Plicaria, Pyrenochaeta, Pythium, and Verticillium are also controlled.
University tests have shown Prestop superior to various biofungicides against many diseases. Prestop was often equal to chemical fungicides (test results available). Depending on disease pressure, application interval can be lengthened from the typical 1 to 2 weeks for other biofungicides to 3-6 weeks for Prestop. This is due to Prestop’s ability to colonize the surface of leaves and roots and parasitize disease fungi. Research has shown Prestop can internally colonize plant tissue as a beneficial endophyte and also induce disease resistance.
Prestop can be applied as a spray, drench, fog, via drip irrigation, and incorporated into media and soil. The biofungicide has a 0 hour REI and is OMRI Certified.
