Coleus Spitfire

This selection is small in stature and big in color.

Coleus Spitfire from Ball FloraPlant is part of the MicroBlaze Collection. Spitfire only grows to 12 to 18 inches tall, making it ideal for small pots and decorative mixed containers. Leaves have hot pink centers surrounded by splashes of burgundy and lime green tips. This selection holds its color well in full sun and shade. Spitfire scored well at the Penn State Flower Trials in 2021, with a score of 4.88 (out of 5) in the sun container trial and a 4.83 in the shade container trial. Depending on the region it is grown, it flowers very late or never flowers. Plants are self-branching, so no pinch or PGRs are needed. Its versatility makes it ideal for use in combos, containers and landscape borders, as well as for balconies or small patios in the urban garden.
